My mom mentioned taqwa when I forwarded this message:

Therefore our job is to minimize the dysfunctions as it comes. I had been a dysfunctional person all my life.  That is because I choose to walk the path less traveled.  This path has two options.  Either you walk in the dark side or you walk under the light.  Either way it is the same path.  In the dark side you walk with a cloak.  In the light you walk bare naked.

What people don't understand is whichever you choose, you are still make the choice of taking the journey and you are always in motion.  I had been walking in the dark for so long.  Now I want to not only walk in the light, I want to be the one that illuminates.

It doesn't matter if I make 1 person shine or none at all.  That is not my job.  My job is to shine because I am enlightened.  Those who are in slumber may not get it.  They maybe fearful of my intention.

I'm not a messiah, a prophet or even a leader.  I am just a man/a just man.  Therefore the rule is to DO GOOD AND DO NO HARM.

If I do that, I am a compassionate man.

So I forwarded this video to her.  My question is do I practice taqwa knowing I am a God?

This is applying the pain/pleasure principle.  My idea of taqwa is to do good and do no harm KNOWING you are a Supreme Being.  Not because you are looking for reward or avoiding reprimand.

This kind of lecturers are making people become cowards.

Taqwa is the root for the Malay word takut (afraid).  Can you imagine every Friday prayer, they will keep repeating taqwa, taqwa and more taqwa.  So throughout the years of conditioning the Muslims become a bunch of cowards.  

I have nothing against praying once a week.  However I stopped going to the Friday prayer because I see no improvement in the content of the sermons.  Only twice the Imams talked about something else.  Once on the misleading definition of haram on using alcoholic perfume and the other on being good neighbors.  Imagine since I was a kid until last 10 years, always it is about being afraid.

And yet it is the Muslim countries ranked top 3 highest in bribery and crime against humanity:

1. Irag
2. Pakistan
3. Iran

I am for taqwa if it is for the benefit of self actualization.  However, if it is motivated by fear, it has no impact on me.
